על העמותה

מכון גולדה מאיר למנהיגות וחברה הינה עמותה שמטרתה להנציח את זכרה ופועלה של ראשת ממשלת ישראל הרביעית גולדה מאיר ז"ל, האישה היחידה שכיהנה בתפקיד זה מאז קום המדינה.

מטרות העמותה (מתוך התקנון):

הנצחת ראשת הממשלה הרביעית של מדינת ישראל, גולדה מאיר, תוך עיסוק בפועלה ומורשתה.
עידוד מחקר ושיח על מדינת הרווחה: שוויון כלכלי וחברתי, זכויות עובדים ועובדות, שיכון בר השגה ועוד.
עידוד מחקר ושיח על שאיפתה של ישראל לשלום וביטחון; דיפלומטיה, יחסים בינלאומיים והידוק הקשר עם יהדות התפוצות.
קידום מנהיגות של נשים בחברה, בכלכלה, בתרבות ובפוליטיקה. עידוד מחקר ושיח על נשים מנהיגות ונשים בפוליטיקה.

The Golda Meir Institute for Leadership (GMIL) is a not for profit organization dedicated to the commemoration of the 4th Prime Minister of Israel, Golda Meir (1898-1978), the only woman to hold the position since the establishment of the state of Israel.

GMIL Mission:

To commemorate the 4th Prime Minister of Israel, Golda Meir through exploring her achievements and legacy.

Encouraging research and discourse of the welfare state: economic and social equality, rights of working people, affordable living and housing and more.
Encouraging research and discourse of Israel’s quest for peace and security; diplomacy, international relations and the strengthening of relations with diaspora Jewry.
Promoting women’s leadership and gender equality in society, economy, culture and politics. Encouraging research and discourse of the leadership of women in politics.
